The Kitchen at Primrose Hill website design and build
The website design and build for The Kitchen at Primrose Hill was a project of great taste all-round. The commission was to create a brand new website for the rural pop-up restaurant, based at the edge of the north Cotswolds. The site needed to be nice and clean so that the culinary delights on offer had the space to shine. We also needed to build the site so it was futureproof and could be added to, and so that the client could manage it themselves with ease. The venue hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year. They also change their menus regularly to make the most of seasonal produce so the ability to update the site with ease was critical.
We chose a sophisticated colour palette and simple font to compliment the restaurant’s branding. Our design choices were also made with careful consideration of the beautiful imagery we used. We wanted these to be showcased to their full potential and our design does this.
In addition to making the site look great, we also wanted specific features to be highlighted. Features such as the pop up menu and jam-packed diary of ‘happenings’ all needed signposting to users. We did this by using clever transitions and a sticky menu bar to make navigation a breeze.
The client loves the site that much we have since been commissioned to do a sister site for The Little Kitchen at Farnborough. You can see that here littlekitchenfarnborough.co.uk
