Being included with the best of the best
The Creativepool Annual is a collection of the previous year’s greatest design work from around the world. It showcases only the most inspirational creations and includes work from some of the world’s biggest design agencies for some of the world’s best known brands. With this in mind, it was a very proud moment when we learned that not one but two of our projects were shortlisted for inclusion.
The work featured comes from all genres of design, from advertising to 3D, illustration to branding and it was in the latter category that two of our projects featured. This year saw the highest number of entries ever witnessed by the Annual’s creators making our places on the shortlist even more rewarding. Those making the final cut and appearing in this year’s Annual were to be announced at a swanky do at The Library Club in Covent Garden. So, it was with excitement that we headed down to rub shoulders with the very best of the best from the design world for the night.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, chatting with the most talented people in our industry. Stories were shared and we discussed ideas and talked about our relative inspirations. We also sampled a few cocktails for good measure!
After much fun had been had by all, the final projects to be included were announced. The winners were presented with a golden edition of the Annual to display with pride in their respective agencies globally. Sadly, this wasn’t to be our year with the winning branding projects coming from jones knowles ritchie, Landor and DixonBaxi for big names Etihad, Eurosport, Young’s and Wheaties.
It was a shame not to have been selected this year. But if you have to miss out, missing out to the very best of the best is some consolation. We had a great experience at our very first awards evening and having two shortlisted projects made the evening even more exciting. We’re not letting it go to our heads of course. We’re now firmly focused on the designs we’ll create this year. Next year’s golden Annual edition may be ours yet…
