Ian William White artist website

Working with fellow creatives is always a fun experience. Ian William White is a local contemporary artist  looking for a platform to showcase and sell his work. He asked us to create a logo, design and build his website and draft the copy for it too.

With this web design project we really wanted to showcase the vibrant and fun, yet often complicated nature of Ian’s work and his approach to his art. The branding needed to reflect Ian’s personality and the intimate nature of his artwork. With this in mind we used a stylised version of Ian’s signature as the basis for his branding and chose a bold red colour to make it stand out.

This colour was then utilised across the new website and accompanied by a variety of other bright and bold colours to compliment Ian’s artistic style. We also used lots of imagery to make Ian’s work the real hero of the website.

Drafting the copy for the site felt like a big responsibility. We were really keen to portray the emotional process that Ian goes through to produce his work. So, we spoke with him at length to understand his approach and then worked closely with him to ensure he was happy and comfortable with what we drafted.

We’re delighted with the final site and it was a pleasure to work with Ian.
